Review: Lush Mask of magnaminty.

Hello loves, I hope you're all well :)
Now I featured this mask in my August favourites, but I thought it was worthy of  a full review, so here you go!
I purchased this as a little treat to take on holiday and I have been really enjoying using it. I know Sammi really likes this mask, and if it's good enough of Ms. Beautycrush, I was sure it would be good enough for me!

First of, I really like the packaging. Obviously thats not the main thing about this products, like it is with say, a YSL lipstick *starts daydreaming about said lipsticks*  but I love the simple black packaging with the Lush typography and it just looks really nice nestled in my skin care corner. Lush also have a scheme where if you take back a certain number of bottles or tubs, you get a free fresh face mask, so I'll be keeping hold of this when it's finished.

I'm not the hugest fan of the smell of this mask, it reminds me of peas and mashed potato (weird I know), but its not particularly unpleasant. When you first apply it, it creates a really cooling, tingly  sensation, which is super relaxing. The first time I used it, I found it slightly stingy, where as my sister thought it was fine, but now it feels really lovely on me, so maybe if you have really sensitive skin this out be an issue . I like to know that a product is actually doing something, and this is a good indicator of that!

This mask has little Evening primrose seeds in it, which act as a gentle exfoliator when you wash it off, so this really is a good all rounder. It can also be used on your back if you are spotty there, but luckily or unluckily for me (I can't quite decide) I get all of my spots on my face, and I have found that this reduces the size of blemishes and the redness of them, as well as leaving my skin baby soft and smooth.  As with all Lush products, they are incredibly natural, so are unlikely to upset your skin, simply because they don't contain any nasty chemicals.

Below we have those all important mask faces!

Overall, I would recommend this mask. I wouldn't say it was the most effective thing in the world, but it's a fab pick me up and only takes about ten minutes to work it's magic, so if great for a school night pamper session :)

I also wanted to let you know that the voting for the mbsocialreporter competition (which I blogged about here) closes today, so be sure go head over to the site and vote for your favourite entry :)

 Have you tried this mask?

  5. I've not heard of this face mask before, I think my local lush mustn't stock it. I'll have to ask them :) I recently traded in my empty lush pots and chose the cosmetic catastrophe face mask for my freebie. So far I'm loving it.

Great review, love the face mask faces too hehe.
