When Alice did Paris: Outfit #1.

OOTD #60

Bonjour tout le monde!
Guess who is finally writing a blog post?! I have well and truly slacked for the past few months in terms of blogging. I'm annoyed with myself for letting time run away with me quite so badly! Setting that aside, I've got lots of material from Paris to blog about so yay! I had the most incredible time. It was everything I wanted it to be and more- I always worry when you hear so much about a city or specific place that you are going to underwhelmed, but Paris was worth all it's hype. I'm now dreaming about  living there if my french is ever good enough!

On the first full day we visited the Louvre and the Tuileries (which I will have a full post on soon) and this is what I wore, firstly with my jacket and scarf and after with a lipstick change!

Mac- Primark
Scarf- Vintage
Top- Primark
Belt- Primark
Watch- Olivia Burton
Shorts- River Island
Tights- M&S
Boots- Office

Whilst I was taking these pictures, I was being stared at by confused french teenagers, so bare with the poses!
These shorts were a fab sale find, only £12 from about £30 I think. They are a really nice thick material so perfect for winter with a pair of tights. I'm really loving hounds-tooth at the moment so they are right up my street. Roll necks have become a favourite of mine this season, I think they look so smart. This one is more of a t-shirt material than a jumper, so I've ordered a nice thick one for when it gets colder. These boots are my staff shoe and served me well in Paris. The weather was lovely the whole time were where there, not cold at all, so I made the most of wearing this not-so-warm outfit!

I hope you are all good, let me know what you've been up to! I missed interacting with all you lovely people.

What do you think of this outfit? Have you been to Paris?

An oxford outfit.

OOTD #59

Hello loves,
Well this month has been a total fail in terms of blogging! My sincerest appogies, I'm not even too sure what happened, time just ran away from me I suppose.

As you read this I will be on my way to Paris (probably in a state of over excitement and sleepiness) and I cannot wait!  I've been looking forward to this trip for months, so expect a full report when I'm back! In the mean time, you can see what I'm up to on my twitter and Instagram :)

Anyway, this is what I wore a few weeks ago for a lovely day trip to oxford.

Top- Topshop
Skirt- H&M
Bag- Accessorize
Shoes-Topshop

You must all know by now that I have a huge girl crush on the Clueless character Cher, so when I saw this skirt in H&M I had to have it. I love the way it sits, even if it is a little on the short side. This top has become a total staple in my wardrobe, it's the easiest thing to style as it goes with everything. This bag was the perfect day trip size, and I love the slightly unusual colour. These topshop shoes are another thing I can't stop wearing, they are so comfy now and add a bit of interest to most outfits.

I hope you all have a great half term, it's been a long couple of weeks!

What do you think of this outfit? What are you up to this week?

Thunder only happens when it's raining.

OOTD #58

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well,
This is something wore to sixth form last week, it looks quite A/W appropriate despite the fact that it's been so mild, I want it to feel like October now!

Crop top- Primark
Skirt- Miss Selfridge
Watch- Olivia Burton
Bracelet- Pandora
Tights- M&S
Shoes- Topshop

This crop top is something I picked up this time last year, although truth be told I didn't wear it much, but it is the perfect match with this skirt. I love the mix of colours included on it, normally I'm not a fan of red and purple, but it just works here! This skirt is a staple in my wardrobe all year round and always works well with crop tops. I'm also still loving my ombre!

Still in love with my watch, it's the most perfect accessory in autumn.

I'm so glad these shoes are now comfy! They have been successfully broken in and can just be thrown on with anything which is the beauty of them, they add a tougher edge to some of my girly outfits as well.

What do you think of this outfit? Are you a fan of crop tops even when it's getting colder?

Inspo no.4.

Hello everyone,
I've been back on my favorite website; Pinterest! My whole feed is slowly turning more and more autumnal which fills me with so much joy, these few months are my favorite. These are some of the photos that have caught my eye, I'm really feeling simple, basic pieces that can be thrown on with ease, as well as blue and black.

With less than a month until I'll be walking the streets of Paris, i'm feeling heavily influenced by effortless french style, so stripes and simple lines are whats on my lust list! Also, the perfect coats, I am determined to find one that I love this year, I've already tried on some contenders, but do let me know the best places to look. I'm also counting down to the day that it's cold enough to wear a scarf again, hounds-tooth and tartan are my ultimate faves, I need to hunt down that double sided Primark one that has both! I'm also obsessed with backpacks like the one in the last picture, so chic.
What's inspiring you at the moment?
