How much is my face worth?

Hello everyone,
I love these posts because you a) get to share your most used products (so some unsung heroes) but also b) because I'm intrigued by how much my makeup actually costs me! These are the products I reach for when I want my make up to be simple and unfussy, but I absolutely love it. It's neutral so goes with anything I'm wearing and I can do it all in about ten minutes. Just a quick disclaimer, this is not a post for any form of bragging, just a bit of fun!

-On the face-

Rimmel fix and perfect primer - £6.99
Miss sporty liquid concealer - £2.99
L'oreal true match foundation - £9.99
Sleek contour kit- £6.49
Sleek blush in Pixie pink- £4.49
MAC soft and gentle mineralize skinfinish- £23.00
Maybelline fit me powder- £5.99
total = £59.94

-On the eyes-

Urban decay naked3 palette- £37
Eyeko skinny eyeliner- £12 (free with Glamour magazine!)
Maybelline rocket volum' mascara- £7.99
Total =£56.99

-On the brows-

MUA Pro-brow palette - £3.50
Maybelline BROWdrama - £4.99
Total = £8.49

-On the lips-

Rimmel appocalips in celestial- £6.49
Total = £6.49

So in total, the makeup I wear daily, if I was to purchase all of the products at once, would cost me £131.91, ah that is a lot! Since I've starting working, it has really put what I spend my money on into perspective, like when lunch a Pret costs more that what I earn an hour, you start questioning theses things! However, makeup is what I'm all about, and I've collected these products over time or as gifts, so I can live with that total, especially when I've found things that suit me and products that I would happily rave about all day!

FOTD #12.

Hello everyone, it's face of the day time!
This was one of those days when I had time to experiment with my makeup, and i love love love how it turned out!

I based this look around trying to create a matte brown eye, and I love the result (so much so that I'm sporting it again as I write this) I paired it with a peach lip, which is as nude as I seem to be able to go, anything else just washes me out of ends up look like a dreaded `concealer lip`.

Ok, so I began as always by priming my face with Rimmel Fix and perfect. I then used the Seventeen Phwoarr paint concealer under my eyes and over blemishes, followed by my Rimmel Match perfection foundation. Next I dusted my Rimmel Stay matte powder all over. After that I contoured my face using my old favourite the Sleek contour kit, and highlighted using the Bourjois Java rice powder over the high-points on my face. My blush choice was Bourjois Healthy mix 41 which add the perfect peachy tone to my face. To compliment and amplify this, on the lips I went for a Rimmel Apocalips in Luna. I used the MUA Pro brow kit and BROWdrama for my eyebrows, and I actually used the kit for my eyes too, sweeping it all over the lid (the darkest colour out of the set) at first and then building up the colour to intensify it in the crease and outer corner. I then look a brown Maybelline eyeliner under my eyes and a tiny bit on my upper lash-line, smudging it out slightly. I finished the whole look off with a few generous coats of my Rimmel Scandaleyes flex mascara

So that's another look I've added to my repertoire! I really like it because I feel like it's a little bit in the smokey eye territory but still perfectly day time appropriate. I've also been more of an eyeshadow than winged liner girl of late (I know what is happening) but I can't say I'm not loving it.

I also want to thank you for the lovely comments left on my prom post, I couldn't stop smiling after reading every single on of them! In other news, I got a job! I'm not working int the Office concession in House of Fraser and totally loving it :)

FOTD #11.

Hello everyone, look who found some time to blog!
This makeup look is one I wore during the half term to pop out to the cinema (I saw Bad Neighbors if you wondered, it was pretty crappy, but just a welcome break from science!) I really like how it turned out and I have been wearing this combination lots recently.

I'm loving using eyeshaow at the moment! Since getting my MAC palette, I have been making the most of the two shades I do have. I think the gorgeous Amber Lights- gold is a green eyed girls best friend!

-Products used-

So first off, I primed my face using my favorite Rimmel Fix and perfect Primer, followed by the Seventeen Phwoarr paint concealer under my eyes and on blemishes. My foundation of choice was the Rimmel Match Perfection one, I still love it! I then took my Rimmel Stay Matte powder all over to keep my base in place and prevent unwanted shine. I contoured using the Bourjois Bronzing primer and then highlighted with MAC soft and Gentle. I used my old faithful Sleek blush by three palette in Lace (a mix off The middle shade and the one on the right.) I just did my standard brow routine, using the MUA Pro brow kit and Maybelline BrowDrama.

To start with on my eyes I used a Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshaow stick in Bulletproof beige. I then took shade 6 from the MUA Undressed palette all over the lid. Next I worked MAC Amber Lights into the crease and outer corners, winging it slightly, I love the depth it gives it the this look! Finally I swept a few generous coasts of the Maybelline falsies mascara. I finished everything off with my Topshop Rio Rio lipstick, one of my favourite reds.

I hope any of you doing exams are finding it alright, or that the lucky of you are enjoying your time off!
