Charity shop finds #3 (and where I've been!)

Hello everyone, remember me?
It's been over two months since my last blog post. I never intended to take a break, but February was a tricky month as I was ill and I had lots of family stuff going on, and March has flow by so quickly I simply haven't have the time, with English coursework, French mocks and work keeping me busy. However since it's the Easter break and I've missed blogging so much I'm vowing to get back into the swing of things!

Yesterday my Mum, Sister and myself went out for some lunch and did a bit of charity shopping in Stony Stratford. I can't tell you how nice it was to have break from revision and going into work! I find thrifting can be really hit and miss, I'll either see nothing at all and have a bit of a waisted trip, or come home with loads, and this time was definitely the later!

£3.99

One thing I picked up was the navy, red and cream striped top. I am a stripe addict so this caught my eye straight away! Its Zara so is super soft and feels like really nice quality. It's a large so has a cosy over-sized fit.

£1.50

This H&M top was only £1.50! As I said, huge lover of stripes so for a such a low price I couldn't really leave this. It's again a slouchy fit on me which I love, perfect for sixth form and I already know what I'm going to wear this with so look out for an outfit post!

£3.00

I thought thought this goregous crochet cami would be lovely for the summer moths. I really like the dainty straps and I feel like I'll get so much wear out of it when the weather warms up.

£2.75

I love the simplicity of this top, it's something I feel Audrey Hepburn would have totally rocked. I'll wear it tucked into skirts and anything highwaisted.

£5.99

This was technically not my purchase but I have to share the jacket my sister bought! It looks so smart and the nicest length. I wish it wasn't so huge on me or I would be stealing it 24/7!

£3.00

I think this skirt has to be my favourite purchase. It's vintage so has that lovely '50s shape, so super flattering on the waist. The combination of colours and the pinstripe design make me so so excited to wear it for a stroll along the beach!

£1

One little trinket I found was this adorable metal elephant, It looks so cute on my window sill next to another one I have.

£5

Finally is this mason jar glass, not actually from a charity shop, but I though I would include it here anyway. It's the most adorable design which I'm sure will encourage me to keep my water intake up!

So that's what I found! A pretty successful trip I would say.
It's my birthday next week (17!) so I have lots of fun things planned, as well as a stack of revision bigger than me to get done, so I will do my best to keep posting. I have honestly missed blogging so much, how are you all?! Do let me know if there are any specific posts you would like to see :)

What have you been up to lately? Are you a fan of charity shopping?

Charity shop finds #2.

Hello everyone,
Over half term I did a spot of charity shopping, which is fast becoming one of my favorite things to do; ambling around somewhere quaint, chatting away to good company, helping worthy causes and then topping it all of with a tea stop- sound good to you?

I'll start with my two cheat items, not from a charity shop but two pretty not to share!

First up is this Paris poster, I was lured in by the vintage feel and goregous illustration. I'm sure you don't need to hear it again, but I am dying to visit  Paris, everything about it just calls to me! This was only £3.75 from an amazing independent shop The Nest at No.9, I literally want everything in there. Keeping with the French theme for a second; I got an A in my last french speaking exam! I was totally shocked considering last time I did it I only achieved a C, so chuffed is not even the word!

The other item I picked up was this adorable tea light holder. I am partial to a candle or two, and this one was just to pretty to leave on the shelf. This was a snip at just £2.50 as well.

Next is something a bit weird top get excited about, put I finally bought a pin board! I have wanted one for my room for what seems like forever, and when I saw this for just £1 (yep £1) in a charity shop I knew I had to have it. I should have a post coming up all about how I plan to jazz it up, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Next up, a Ted Baker gift set. All the products where unopened and for only £3.50 I couldn't say no. This retails for £10, so it was a pretty good bargain! I adore the scent of Ted Baker products so I can see myself using these a whole lot.

Finally, a new jumper (which I have on right now FYI) This was from the men's section, but I was drawn to the colour and also the slouchy fit on me; in short- mega warm, and a snip at £5.

What do you think of what I found? Are you a fan of charity shopping?

Haul: Shopping the sales.

Hi everyone, today I have a clothing haul for you.
I haven't had a proper clothes shop in a while, so you can imagine I was thrilled when I found so many things I liked at sale prices! You might have noticed the lack of outfit posts around these parts, however now my wardrobe has had a little refresh, I should have far more to share with you. I want to apologist for the inconsistent quality of these images; the winter light makes things impossible!

I'll start with what i didn't pick up in the sales, these three tops are from good ol' Primark;

Polka dot top with collar - £6

You may have realised that I love anything with a collar, I'm a tad obsessed with them! Navy and white is a winning combination for me and I thought this was just so cute.

Textured daisy print top - £6

This isn't something I would usual gravitate towards, but it actually really like it. I tried it on and I was completely smitten! This is going to look so lovely in the spring with some high waisted jeans and leather accessories.

Pink and white collared top - £8

Lastly is another collared top (I would say sorry but...) The classic pairing of pink and white got things off to a good start, but what really sold it was the overlapping of the collar, not something I've seen before!

River Island Chelsea girl paisley printed top - £10 reduced from £22

River Island was high on my agenda for a spot of sales shopping, I always find some lovely hings in there. Although I didn't come away with a lot this time, I love what I did buy. I've actually already worn this (OOTD later this week) because I just love the print and the fit . I also think it was a pretty good price. Chelsea Girl is their retro collection, and we all now anything remotely vintage pulls on my heart strings!

Topshop pajama shorts - £5 reduced form £12

I picked these up because in my eyes you can never have too many pj shorts, also the print and lace edging was too cute to resit.

Topshop sleeveless plaid shirt - £12 reduced from £26

Ah I have wanted a shirt like this for so long! This is perfect for a pair of jeans and converse and I love the faded style of the colours.

Next tartan trousers - £18 reduced from £38

These are one of my favourite purchases, plus they had a great saving! I would never usually like red and purple but I think on these it just works. I've already thought about how I want to style these so look out for that :)

New Look monochrome daisy print cami - £6 reduced form £12

This cami top is a perfect transitional piece and I'm hoping will look good with everything! I love the delicate daisy print so I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of this one.

Miss Selfridge coral strappy dress - £10 reduced from £40

This is definitely a summer item, but one I can't wait to wear. I seem to have purchased a few orange things which is not usually my colour but I can't seem to get enough of it at the moment. This is the ideal beach or park dress so I'll be wearing it a tonne when the weather eventually warms up.

Miss Selfridge monochrome polka dot shirt - £15 reduced from £32

This is definitely one of my favourite things I've bought in a while- I'm in love! The mix of large and mini dots is so eye catching and it looks great tucked into anything high waisted or worn over for a more tunic style.

Urban outfitters gold and silver mix watch - £18 reduced form £37

Finally, last but by know means least, I bought a new watch! This one caught my eye whilst browsing the Urban Outfitters sale and I had to order. I adore the mix of gold and silver as well as the subtle geometric face and the shape of the hands, but don't worry, my beloved Olivia Burton will not be neglected (how could it be?) I just fancied a bit of variation!

It's my sister's Birthday today, so we're taking a trip to London, I shall report back as and when!

What is your favourite form my sale picks? What have you found any gems this year?

Charity shop finds #1.

Hi everyone, I hope you're well.
Last Saturday was the Saturday of bargains; In the morning my mum, sister and me went to a huge makeup sale where everything was either 50p or £1 (haul coming soon!) and later on in the day I went to a sweet town near me called Stony Stratford to do some charity shopping. It was amazing. I can safely say I will be doing this thrifting lark more often, Lot's of vintage prettiness and supporting amazing charities? Yes please.

This is what I ended up bringing home with me:
Tea cup and Saucer- £1.30
Tin- £5.00
Necklace- £2.50
Yankee Candles- £1.99 each

I'm totally in love with everything I bought, they look adorable in my room! Now I tell a lie with the Yankee Candles, these were not actually from a charity shop, but I wanted to show you them because they smell so amazing! Sugared apple makes me want to cry with happiness. True story. The Necklace is so delicate and pretty, I love anything with a vintage or cameo feel to it so look out for this in future OOTD's. I saw the tin and was undecided over it in the shop because it was £5.00, however I'm so glad it came home with me! I've decided I want to start collecting pretty teacups to put tea lights in, trust me, it looks so sweet!

I can see this becoming something I do regularly, I found it oddly therapeutic just pottering around and the bargainous gems; I'm officially a charity shopper!

What do you think of my finds? Are you a fan of charity shopping?
