Charity shop finds #3 (and where I've been!)

Hello everyone, remember me?
It's been over two months since my last blog post. I never intended to take a break, but February was a tricky month as I was ill and I had lots of family stuff going on, and March has flow by so quickly I simply haven't have the time, with English coursework, French mocks and work keeping me busy. However since it's the Easter break and I've missed blogging so much I'm vowing to get back into the swing of things!

Yesterday my Mum, Sister and myself went out for some lunch and did a bit of charity shopping in Stony Stratford. I can't tell you how nice it was to have break from revision and going into work! I find thrifting can be really hit and miss, I'll either see nothing at all and have a bit of a waisted trip, or come home with loads, and this time was definitely the later!

£3.99

One thing I picked up was the navy, red and cream striped top. I am a stripe addict so this caught my eye straight away! Its Zara so is super soft and feels like really nice quality. It's a large so has a cosy over-sized fit.

£1.50

This H&M top was only £1.50! As I said, huge lover of stripes so for a such a low price I couldn't really leave this. It's again a slouchy fit on me which I love, perfect for sixth form and I already know what I'm going to wear this with so look out for an outfit post!

£3.00

I thought thought this goregous crochet cami would be lovely for the summer moths. I really like the dainty straps and I feel like I'll get so much wear out of it when the weather warms up.

£2.75

I love the simplicity of this top, it's something I feel Audrey Hepburn would have totally rocked. I'll wear it tucked into skirts and anything highwaisted.

£5.99

This was technically not my purchase but I have to share the jacket my sister bought! It looks so smart and the nicest length. I wish it wasn't so huge on me or I would be stealing it 24/7!

£3.00

I think this skirt has to be my favourite purchase. It's vintage so has that lovely '50s shape, so super flattering on the waist. The combination of colours and the pinstripe design make me so so excited to wear it for a stroll along the beach!

£1

One little trinket I found was this adorable metal elephant, It looks so cute on my window sill next to another one I have.

£5

Finally is this mason jar glass, not actually from a charity shop, but I though I would include it here anyway. It's the most adorable design which I'm sure will encourage me to keep my water intake up!

So that's what I found! A pretty successful trip I would say.
It's my birthday next week (17!) so I have lots of fun things planned, as well as a stack of revision bigger than me to get done, so I will do my best to keep posting. I have honestly missed blogging so much, how are you all?! Do let me know if there are any specific posts you would like to see :)

What have you been up to lately? Are you a fan of charity shopping?

Haul: Shopping the January sales

Hello everyone,
I did a spot of shopping last week and I thought you might like to see some of the bits I picked up. I found some real bargains this time! Please do excuse the quality of these pictures, the winter lighting struggle is real.

So lets start with trusty Primark. I bought this gorgeous lilac coat for just £10! It was £25 at full price so I couldn't really say no. It is a slightly over-sized fit and so so warm, I feel like it will be perfect for when it's still cold but I want my outfits to feel more springlike.

I picked up these slouchy trousers (£10) because they are looked so comfy! They will be fab for sixth form  and just days when I wan't to be the optimum of comfort but not look too dressed down (read: not in a pair of trackies but wishing I was.)

I want to start doing some jogging to get myself a little fitter, so I figured it would be a good idea to pick up some appropriate clothes. These running trousers were only £9 so should be good for getting me going!

I also purchased this sports bra / top (wishful thinking for my non toned stomach) because I loved the print. They has matching bottoms but they were rather see through. Primark's gym range is really impressive, so I'm sure I'll be popping back to have a look soon.

Lastly just this top, I can't wait for spring to roll around so I can start! I cannot face running about whilst the weather is like this (its raining and snow is rumored for tomorrow night, I hope you feel my pain)

From New Look I picked up this dark peach scalloped top. Lots of people asked me if it was from Topshop but it was a little cheaper at jut £12.99! This is a really great basic to have in my collection as it looks nice with pretty much everything.

I also bought this gorgeous skirt. I think it's very Motel and I love the blues. It feels really good quality and the design itself would be worth the slightly high price of £17.99 for me.

I found these trousers in the sale for only £9 which was fab considering I was after them at full price! Like the khaki ones from Primark they will be perfect for lazier days.

From this Miss Selfridge sale I bought this gorgeous dark floral top. I love the lace panel and flowy sleeves, I'm loving anything boho at the moment! This was £10 down from £35.

Keeping the shirt theme , I bought this stunning one from Topshop. The collar has the most delicate lace and it's just so pretty! I feel like this will go with everything but is still quite a one off piece. This was £18 from £36, so a really good markdown at half price.

I also bought this adorable thsirt! Ah I love the puppies. This is from the Tee and cake Topshop concession which make my favorite tshirts and you really do get what you pay for in terms of the quality and design. But saying that I only paid £5 for this when the original price of £22!

(Sorry if this too much info) but how pretty is this underwear? The bra was £3 (I know £3) down from £18 and the underwear £2 and £4 and all from Topshop. All so so gorgeous and fit perfectly.

What do you think of what I bought? Have you found any gems lately?

March haul: River Island, Primark and H&M.

Hello everyone,
I have a little clothing haul for you on this sunny Saturday. I picked these bits up last week with my mum and sister; I think I found some real gems! See what I wore here.

-Monochrome bomber jacket- Primark £15-

You've actually already seen this bomber jacket in this outfit post, you guys love it! I can see why, because I'm in the same camp. It is lovely and light weight, so perfect for spring and feels really good quality considering it's from Primark. It's really striking and will add interest to any outfit.

- Red paisley smock dress - River Island £25 -

This has to be my favorite thing I picked up. I'm in love with the print, the washed out colours are so pretty and paisley design is adorable. It's a smock shape so really comfortable, and I think the addition of the little mother of pearl buttons is so sweet. I reckon I'm going to wear this on my Birthday, so look out for on outfit post soon.

 -Checked cropped shirt- £14.99 H&M-

You might be seeing a theme here, I'm obsessed with checks... This shirt is perfectly casual and will look great with a pair of joni jeans or a skater skirt.

 -Aztec casual shorts- Primark £4-

The goregosu print is what drew me to these. All the colours are so pretty, and I can see them being perfect for when it hots up in the summer. They were a steal at just £4 as well.

-Bright blue midi pencil skirt- Primark-

Finally is this gorgeous skirt my Grandma bought for me- I'm totally smitten with it! The colour and fit is so lovely, in fact I already have a whole post planned around it. I've never really worn a skirt thins length, but I'm going to have to buy more like it because I love it!

What do you think of my purchases? What have you been loving lately?

Charity shop finds #2.

Hello everyone,
Over half term I did a spot of charity shopping, which is fast becoming one of my favorite things to do; ambling around somewhere quaint, chatting away to good company, helping worthy causes and then topping it all of with a tea stop- sound good to you?

I'll start with my two cheat items, not from a charity shop but two pretty not to share!

First up is this Paris poster, I was lured in by the vintage feel and goregous illustration. I'm sure you don't need to hear it again, but I am dying to visit  Paris, everything about it just calls to me! This was only £3.75 from an amazing independent shop The Nest at No.9, I literally want everything in there. Keeping with the French theme for a second; I got an A in my last french speaking exam! I was totally shocked considering last time I did it I only achieved a C, so chuffed is not even the word!

The other item I picked up was this adorable tea light holder. I am partial to a candle or two, and this one was just to pretty to leave on the shelf. This was a snip at just £2.50 as well.

Next is something a bit weird top get excited about, put I finally bought a pin board! I have wanted one for my room for what seems like forever, and when I saw this for just £1 (yep £1) in a charity shop I knew I had to have it. I should have a post coming up all about how I plan to jazz it up, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Next up, a Ted Baker gift set. All the products where unopened and for only £3.50 I couldn't say no. This retails for £10, so it was a pretty good bargain! I adore the scent of Ted Baker products so I can see myself using these a whole lot.

Finally, a new jumper (which I have on right now FYI) This was from the men's section, but I was drawn to the colour and also the slouchy fit on me; in short- mega warm, and a snip at £5.

What do you think of what I found? Are you a fan of charity shopping?
