How much is my face worth?

Hello everyone,
I love these posts because you a) get to share your most used products (so some unsung heroes) but also b) because I'm intrigued by how much my makeup actually costs me! These are the products I reach for when I want my make up to be simple and unfussy, but I absolutely love it. It's neutral so goes with anything I'm wearing and I can do it all in about ten minutes. Just a quick disclaimer, this is not a post for any form of bragging, just a bit of fun!

-On the face-

Rimmel fix and perfect primer - £6.99
Miss sporty liquid concealer - £2.99
L'oreal true match foundation - £9.99
Sleek contour kit- £6.49
Sleek blush in Pixie pink- £4.49
MAC soft and gentle mineralize skinfinish- £23.00
Maybelline fit me powder- £5.99
total = £59.94

-On the eyes-

Urban decay naked3 palette- £37
Eyeko skinny eyeliner- £12 (free with Glamour magazine!)
Maybelline rocket volum' mascara- £7.99
Total =£56.99

-On the brows-

MUA Pro-brow palette - £3.50
Maybelline BROWdrama - £4.99
Total = £8.49

-On the lips-

Rimmel appocalips in celestial- £6.49
Total = £6.49

So in total, the makeup I wear daily, if I was to purchase all of the products at once, would cost me £131.91, ah that is a lot! Since I've starting working, it has really put what I spend my money on into perspective, like when lunch a Pret costs more that what I earn an hour, you start questioning theses things! However, makeup is what I'm all about, and I've collected these products over time or as gifts, so I can live with that total, especially when I've found things that suit me and products that I would happily rave about all day!

Life through my lens #10.

Hello everyone,
 I have finished all my exams! (cue fanfare and whooping) I cannot tell you how good it feels to know that I don't have to look at a text book or sit in a stuffy/freezing exam hall for a few months. I feel like they all went reasonably well, I guess only time will tell now! Although waiting until the 21st of August might just drive me insane first...

I thought to get back into blogging again, I'd do a round up post, I love writing these and I hope you guys like reading them too :)

My new favourite thing, which I have sadly only been able to find on one occasion// Nina  Nesbitt in the car // Vogue and nails evening // Models Own Indian ocean // Being all cute after Lauren's meal // Co-ord loving (OOTD) // Breakfast in the sun // I finally bought a Polaroid! // History revision // Prom makeup booked at YSL (heart-eyed emoji) // Cutest tea-room in Olney // OOTD // Elle fanning is such a beaut // Made my bed all cozy // Brownies // FOTD

Forever watching Clueless // I'm fast becoming a smoothie addict // Water + ice + lemon // A thrown on outfit I ended up liking // Wanderlust // the prettiest clouds // Current favorite eye makeup (FOTD) // Lush relaxation // My tutor got everyone Mr. Men books- Little miss bossy over here! // Leavers // Playing with my barnet // Physics exam enthusiasm // Fave top // Last exam day called for ice cream // Tyler's birthday // Throwback father's day

So that brings us right up to date with my Instagram- well done is you got his far! I have got so much to look forward to this summer, not to mention prom on Friday! I have some interviews this week for various things which is a little daunting, but I'll no doubt let you know how they go, not to mention Friday! Thank you to those of you who have followed my blog recently, and of course to those who have for some time, my little patch on the internet has been eerily silent recently,  but I have lots planned for the next three months on here!

So far today I have had a shower, let my hair air dry, had carrot cake for breakfast, re-read the fault in our stars up until chapter six and played Ultraviolence on repeat; happy Monday!

What have you been up to lately? Have you finished your exams?

Review: Seek blush by three `CALIFOR.N.I.A`

Hello everyone, I hope your having a fab Sunday,
 I have spent mine doing French preparation of a speaking assessment tomorrow and drinking lots of tea; pretty standard!

Here we have a recent love of mine, the new Sleek blush by three palette in `CALIFOR.N.I.A`, a gorgeous trio of cream blushers that are just perfect for when spring finally arrives!

First up, the packaging, of course it comes in the classic Sleek packaging (by name and by nature!) which I totally love and it a lot sturdier than a lot of compacts I own. I also adore the box it comes in, a lovely, more luxe touch. The shades are meant to be inspired by California, (hence the name) and to be honest, I'm not sure how well the theme translates, but they are stunning none the less! `Newport peach` is a bright pink, `The surf` a pretty peach nude and `OC` a coral toned pink. Although I love all three colours, I think `Newport peach` is my favourite, it gives such a pretty flush of colour to the cheeks which stays all day. I love Sleek's blushers, I reviewed the blogger favourite Lace palette here, and I adore this one just as much, I should have a FOTD up featuring it soon! This retails for £10, a fab deal considering that's around £3 per blusher!

Also, I finally got twitter! follow me here

Are you a Sleek fan? What do you think of this trio?

Review: Urban Decay Naked3 palette.

Hello everyone, pinch punch first day of the month!
I'm sure this post doesn't need much introduction, but I may or may not have done a little dance of joy when I finally got my hands on the beautiful Naked3 palette.

Just look at those swatches. As if the embossed packaging wasn't enough, Urban Decay have also included a double ended brush and four Primer Potion samples- perfect for a freebie lover like me!

 This palette has a distinctly rose gold theme, which is really clear in the first six shades, and it then becomes more taupe and bronze. My personal favourites are `Burnout`, `Trick`, `Nooner`, `Liar` and `Mugshot`, however they are all just so darn pretty! With a mixture of matte and shimmer finishes, it is perfect for something subtle for everyday wear, or a striking smokey eye.  They are supper pigmented and I have been really impressed by the buttery texture they all have.

 I have literally used this everyday since I bought it, so although the price is pretty eye-watering at £37, I can wholeheartedly say it is wort it. You are basically paying around £3 per eyeshadow, and considering Urban Decay brushes will normally set you pack a good £14, I am convinced it is actually an amazing deal. I'm sure you are going to see a lot more of this palette *cough* January favourites *cough* so be warned!

Do you have the Naked3 palette or are you tempted to purchase?

High-end beauty wishlist

Hello my loves,
 I hope your all having a good Wednesday. I for one am lusting over so much makeup at the moment! I thought I would compile a list of the high-end pieces that I would love to have in my stash right now and why;

Highend beauty wishlist

MAC Mineralize blusher in `Warm soul`
This blusher has me weak at the knees, the deep pink shade with flecks of gold, the silky texture and classic MAC packaging; yes please.

YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick
I have deiced to save up all my boots points in order to buy one of these babies, sadly I can't justify spending £25 on a lipstick (promise me you will hold me too this) so using my points is how I'll go about it! The packaging is absolutely to die for and all the shades are so gorgeous - let me know which one I should pick!

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
I have had my eye on this since it was released and I know it is only a matter of time before I cave and buy it! Everything about it is just so perfect; the rose gold theme, quality shadows, plus it even comes with a brush.

 Lime Crime Velvetine lipstick
Another gorgeously packaged lippie (I love the frosted glass!) These constantly pop up on my Instagram feed and always look amazing. I'm a lover of a matte lip and these look like the right product for achieving that perfect pout. They are also cruelty free and vegan friendly which is always a big bonus. And it's pink. Duh.

Origins Out of trouble 10 minute mask
My skin is being really problematic at the moment so I'm looking for something to help sort it out. Step up this Origins face mask, specifically designed to target blemish prone skin, it defo looks promising.

Muji Acrylic storage
Not strictly high-end or make up, but I need these! My current set up is not good (overflowing lipstick box anyone?) so I feel like it's time to smarten everything up with this blogger favourite.

Nars Orgasm & Laguna duo
I have wanted to try both of these products for a long time now so this duo is the place to start! Nars' sleek packaging is so lovely as well.

Nars Sheer Glow foundation
Finally is the infamous base, I have heard countless glowing (pun not intended!) reviews of this, so I really want to see what all the fuss is about, my only niggle - why does it not come with a pump?!

So that's what I would like to get my hands on in the foreseeable future!

Also I have some exciting news; on Monday night, this blog of mine hit 300 Bloglovin' followers! I could not be happier and it makes me feel like all the hard work I put into my blog is really worth it :) to say thank you, I'm going to be holding a giveaway in March to coincide with my one year anniversary, who knows , I might have even reached a higher milestone by then!

What beauty items are you wishing for at the moment?

FOTD #1

Hello my loves,
I'm sure you  know by now that OOTD's are something I try to do regularly and really enjoy. I have however never done a FOTD post, say whaaat?! So I thought I would finally do one!

This is actually a pretty restrained look for me, I'm usually all about the winged liner and bold lip! It is nice to change things up sometimes and go a lot more simple. I decided against foundation here as well; is this even me?!

Products used;
Collection lasting perfection concealer in `Fair (on blemishes)
Maybelline Dream lumi touch concealer (under eyes, around nose and cupids bow)
Rimmel stay matte powder
Look beauty cream blush in `Melon`
Sleek contour kit (just bronzer)
MUA pro-brow kit
MUA undress me too palette (I used the shades `Naked` and  `Lavish`)
Maybelline The volum' express colossal smokey mascara
Collection cream puff in ` Fairy cake 3`

I'm going to try to do these quite often now, let me know what you think of this look!

Haul: Wedding make up and accessories.

Hiya sweets,
 Oh summer holidays how I love thee... I'm now off for six weeks! *does a little dance*

Tomorrow, one of my Mum's closest friends is getting married, so that obviously means a wedding! I haven't been to one since I was four, I was the cute little bridesmaid :)
 Anyway, pack to present day! I wrote this post awhile ago, outlining how desperate I was to find a pair of shoes, but I now have everything sorted; hurrah!

As you can see, I'm going for a distinctly pink theme! My dress the the only thing not included in this haul, this is it but in a nude-y pink shade :)

So, starting with my shoes. There was a bit of a saga to find these; I originally ordered the ones I featured in the my earlier post from ASOS but they were literally crippling! My poor little toes were completely squished wearing them for two minutes let alone an entire wedding so they had to be sent on their merry way, I guess somethings are eleven pounds in the sale for a reason! After being pretty put out because this were definitely not right, me and my mum went shopping the next day and found these beauts;

So pretty! I don't really wear heels at all, so I can't walk in anything that is the size of the empire state building very high, but these are perfect for my inexperience feet!
They're such a pretty pink shade and I'm sure I'll wear these if I fancy dressing up to go out or whatever :) They're from Deichmann and only £14.99!

I also had a bit of trouble finding a clutch I liked (talk about pointless 1st world problems, blimey!) but I decided to go for this offering from New Look;

I adore the roes gold details from the studs and the chain, and just the overall feel of the bag. It's big enough for all my bits and pieces without being OTT (just thought I'd let you know I actually typed OOTD then, oh the blogger in me!) It was a bargain at £12.99 as well.

This is properly my favourite thing in this haul;

Just look at it! I was admiring this a few weeks ago in Accessorize but A) I didn't have my dress with me to check how the colour went and B) It was something crazy like £40 at full price, yikes. However, when I went in the next weekend, low and behold I had my dress and they had a sale on. In short, it was the perfect colour and half price, high five for waiting a week! These pictures really don't do it justice, but take it from me;  it's a work of blumin' art.

Now onto make up, obviously I have the rest of my makeup collection to play with and help create the perfect look, but I knew there were a few things I needed! As I said, I'm thinking pink, so that's really what I went for.
I've wanted to try one of these 24 hour colour tattoo's for an age, so I though this was a great time to pick one up. This is my favourite shade from the range, I just wish they had more neutrals, because sadly I'm not a purple or turquoise girl!

I also picked up a new Collection why is it not still 2000 product. It was on offer for £2.50 so I couldn't resist because I love an eye-shadow stick. My plan is to wear this all over the lid and they have to colour tattoo in the outer corner and crease. I've tried it out and I think it looks pretty good!

As it is a wedding I'm going to, I thought it might look a bit weird wearing heaving winged liner *cries* For this reason, I deiced a pair of eyelashes was in order, just so that my eyes don't disappear into the vortex of time. Now I've never really worn eyelashes, I've tried some out before but never actually worn them. I've always heard great things about Eylure so I figured they were the brand to go with. I didn't want an extremely dramatic pair so I went for these. With lashings of mascara hopefully I won't miss my eyeliner too much!

The next two products are more essentials than specifically for the wedding, one of them being the Rimmel stay matte powder;

This is a blogger favourite and although I'm not sure it totally lives up to the hype, it is fine for a basic powder. I mean a powder will only ever be a powder!

I also popped a new concealer into my basket. I find my favourite collection one really drying so I thought I would try something new, in the form of this . I really like it at the moment, let me know if you would like to see a review :)

The last item I purchased was this lipstick, sadly, I don't really like it! When I swatched it on my hand it looked like an actual solid colour but on the lips it's more of a pearlescent shade. Well, if you know me,  you should know that I am not a fan of anything shiny on my lips, I much prefer a matte finish. However, I am going to make the best of it and wear it over my trusty pink cream puff; lip situation saved!

I'm getting my haircut in a bit so I will be 100% ready! But if they do more than a `trim` I might cry... Anyway, I obviously won't be able to post tomorrow but I'll try and get some decent picture of my outfit :)

What do you think of my purchases? Are you going to a wedding this summer?
