One skirt, three ways.

Hello lovelies,
I mentioned that I had this post coming up in my latest haul, I had so much fun planning these outfit so I hope you like them! I'm sending you all some Mother's day love as well :)

Look one- casual

Top- Amazon
Skirt- Primark
Watch- Olivia Burton
Converse- Office

I absolutely love this outfit! The blue of this raglan top matches the skirt perfectly, and gives it that sports luxe vibe, especially with the converse. I wore my hair to one side, which I think gives the whole look a really chilled feel. The nail polish I'm wearing is Models Own Hedonist, I blummin' adore it! It's so bright and people always comment on it when I have it on.

Look two- Dressy

Crop top- H&M
Skirt- Primark
Watch- Olivia Burton
Boots- New Look

Next up is my `dressy` look. I think this would be perfect for a meal out somewhere nice, or perhaps even for an interview. I though the mix of lace gave it come continuity and flow downwards, it gives the illusion that it's a dress rather than two separates. The little cap sleeves are super delicate and make it really feminine. I deiced on my cut out heeled boots to tie in with the black from my top, they are a really comfy height as well, perfect for someone like me who is a flats girl through and through!

Look three- Party

Skirt (worn as dress) - Primark
Watch- Olivia Burton
Shoes - Deichmann

This final look is pretty self explanatory, I just wiggled the skirt up, and viola; we have a dress! Admittedly its not the most flattering in the middle, but I just wanted to show how versatile an item like this is. A pair of nude heels go with pretty much anything you can throw at them, so this shade of blue is no exception. One thing I must apologize for is my ghostly complexion; I am so so pale at the moment!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I want to start doing more `One *insert here*, three ways` so do let me know if you have any ideas!

Which look is your favorite? What do you think of this skirt?

March haul: River Island, Primark and H&M.

Hello everyone,
I have a little clothing haul for you on this sunny Saturday. I picked these bits up last week with my mum and sister; I think I found some real gems! See what I wore here.

-Monochrome bomber jacket- Primark £15-

You've actually already seen this bomber jacket in this outfit post, you guys love it! I can see why, because I'm in the same camp. It is lovely and light weight, so perfect for spring and feels really good quality considering it's from Primark. It's really striking and will add interest to any outfit.

- Red paisley smock dress - River Island £25 -

This has to be my favorite thing I picked up. I'm in love with the print, the washed out colours are so pretty and paisley design is adorable. It's a smock shape so really comfortable, and I think the addition of the little mother of pearl buttons is so sweet. I reckon I'm going to wear this on my Birthday, so look out for on outfit post soon.

 -Checked cropped shirt- £14.99 H&M-

You might be seeing a theme here, I'm obsessed with checks... This shirt is perfectly casual and will look great with a pair of joni jeans or a skater skirt.

 -Aztec casual shorts- Primark £4-

The goregosu print is what drew me to these. All the colours are so pretty, and I can see them being perfect for when it hots up in the summer. They were a steal at just £4 as well.

-Bright blue midi pencil skirt- Primark-

Finally is this gorgeous skirt my Grandma bought for me- I'm totally smitten with it! The colour and fit is so lovely, in fact I already have a whole post planned around it. I've never really worn a skirt thins length, but I'm going to have to buy more like it because I love it!

What do you think of my purchases? What have you been loving lately?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City.

OOTD #42

Hello everyone,
I hope your all having a good-week so far, buy the time you read this I will have done the first day of my ten hour textiles exam, here's hoping it's gone well! This is what I wore for a spot of shopping on Saturday, I love the combination of pastel blue and pink- plus the little kitties are too cute. In other news, my blog has now hit 500 followers (500!) I can't tell you how happy I am; this was my goal for the whole of 2014, so to have reached it now is just wonderful. Thank you all so so much!

Blazer- Republic
Shirt- River Island
Earrings- Topshop
Watch- Olivia Burton (here)
Bag- Matalan
Jeans- Topshop (here)
Boots- Topshop (here)

This blazer is something I like to pull out of my wardrobe every spring. It's super versatile and I feel like it adds a preppy edge to any outfit. I can't work out whether blue on blue is totally wrong or a fab combination (opinions please) but I think it works in this outfit. This little bag is the perfect size to just perch on my arm - I'm just hoping it doesn't make me look totally obnoxious!

You can see the adorable print better here, it want a real rag-doll cat now! I think it's a lovely touch that the top button is a stud, it's just a bit different. I'm obsessed by this shade of blue at the moment, I definitely  need some more of it in my wardrobe.

My Olivia Burton watch went perfect with the my bag, and I think these touches of tan leather help bring it all together.

My new favorite footwear of choice have made another appearance - they really are super comfy too!

What do you think of this outfit? What have you been up to today?

Trend #14: `Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking`

Hello everyone,
You have no idea how long I have been waiting to quote this The Devil wears Prada phrase! This really is a `Florals? For Spring?` post (sorry Miranda Priestly) simply because this trend does come around every spring with out fail. I can't say I'm complaining!

'Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking`

First off the shoes. Oh the shoes. I can't decide which I love more; the super sophisticated Ted Baker heels or the stunning Steve Maddens. I now feel I need them both. Shoes are a fab way to inject a little bit of this trend into your wardrobe if you're not a fan of the whole all over florals thing. The Topshop dress caught my eye as soon as I saw it. I think the colour palette is a really different, fun take on this trend. The skort combines two trends in one, I love the the tropical feel it has! The top would look gorgeous with a pair of jeans or a denim skirt. I don't think it would look out of place in an autumnal outfit either. The playsuit is a classic statement piece; perfect for those who can't get enough of florals!

Are you a fan of this trend? What's your favourite item?

No place I'd rather be.

OOTD #41

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a lovely Sunday.
I was recently contacted by House of Fraser asking if I would like to be part of their `Inspired by mum` blogger challenge for Mothers day. The prize is a wonderful £100 worth of vouchers- so well worth entering I'm sure you'll agree!

Appoligies for my weird expressions, I wasn't feeling 100% but I was determined to get these pictures!

Jacket- Primark
Necklace- Mum's
Cami top- Mum's
Watch- Urban Outfitters
Jeans- Primark
Bag- Mum's (vintage)
Boots- Topshop (here)

As you might be able to tell, I took this challenge as a licence to raid my Mum's wardrobe!

The first thing I pounced on was this bag; I love the velvet and brocade combination and it the perfect size to be used as a clutch. The little tassel is so sweet as well.

I've featured this necklace a few times on the blog now, I love the elegance it lends to any outfit. It's the perfect length for me and it's a fab piece of jewelry to just throw on and know it will look lovely.

This jacket comes as a sneak peak form my next haul- I thought the check pattern was the perfect way to break up an otherwise all black outfit (not actually like me at all) I've seen this on lots of blogs so I was so happy when I spotted in in primark in my size.

I deiced on this gorgeous textured turquoise glitter polish form M&S. It's a lovely spring shade and catches the light so perfectly.- I'm just dreading the removal!

I went for my Urban Outfitters watch, I don't wear it enough considering I love love love it.

Oh dear, I'm obsessed with these boots- expect to see them a whole lot more! I would finish this whole look of with a generous spritz of YSL's Manifesto from  House of Fraser, a perfume me and my mum would happily both wear :)

What do you think of this outfit? What look is inspired by your mum?
