Celebrity style #7: Chloe Moretz.

Hello everyone, Happy half term!
It was the stunning Chloe Moretz's birthday this week, so I thought it was as good a time as any to take a look at her style.  She is practically the same age as me, which I must say is pretty upsetting... However, instead of being envious I'm going to be appreciative!

Chloe's laid back style is always effortless, she has that whole, `I-threw-this-on-in-five-seconds` thing down. Despite this, she wears a lot of heels which smartens up any outfit.

1.2.3.

1. This bomber jacket is so lovely! I love the all-black outfit built around it. Black skinnies always look super chic but also have the comfort value. Of course she wouldn't be a Hollywood darling without a pair of sunnies would she?

2. Despite the fact that I think that could be real fur (something I am wholeheartedly against) I  love this outfit. She wears leather trousers and sunglasses, with lace up heeled boots and a gorgeous distressed and/or  battered Mui Mui bag!

3. Finally a classic festival look; short shorts, a band tee and checked shirt. I love the addition of the flower crown with the tougher biker boots to balance it all out as well.

My favourite aspect of Chloe's style has to be her red carpet looks. She always appears so youthful and clearly has a lot of fun deciding what to wear!
1.2.3.

1. This is such a pretty party frock; I love the navy and maroon combo for the tile print, and even the shiny fabric (normally something I hate) gets a thumbs up form me. The shoes are to die for as well!

2. This has to be my favorite out of the three. The striking neon yellow shade looks gorgeous with her skin tone and the flower print is just adorable.  I love the red nail polish and black heels and the length is just right.

3. Another colour that looks wonderful on Miss. Moretz is turquoise, the panel design of this dress is super flattering and I love the nude heels with their pop of neon yellow just under the toe.

Chloe seems to favor smudged out eyes and nude lips in the makeup department, which I must say suits her down to a T, plus she is always smiling in photos- a girl after my own heart!

Are you a fan of Chloe's style? Which is your favourite outfit?

Celebrity style #6: Lana Del Rey.

Howdy y'all,
Recently, something strange has gone on; I have fallen head over heels for Lana Del Rey. Late to the party on this one I know, but hear me out! I had never really listened to much of her music, but just sort of admired it from a far. However recently she is all I've been listening too, and singing at top volume too as well I might add. So once I'd had a chance to enjoy her voice, I did what any sensible blogger would do, checked out her style! Luckily I can confirm that she has ticked this box for me as well, it seems she can now do no wrong in my eyes!

1.2.3.

1. Reason #1 why I'm infatuated, lana gets red faced but can still look gorgeous! I love the red converse and band tee combo, as well as that old 90's chestnut, the shirt around the waist. A pair of denim shorts are a staple in anyones wardrobe so this look is a fab one to recreate.

2. I adore this outfit; the mint/pale blue looks goregous with her skin tone and hair and I love addition of the flower crown. The detail on the front adds a unique twist to an otherwise plain chiffon skater dress which makes it for me.

3. This is such a cute outfit, the highwaisted skirt and crop top combo accentuates her tiny waist and I love the sheer panels going on. Navy, polka dots and white is always going to work, but Lana wears it in quite a daring way which I think she totally pulls off.

Whenever Ms. Del Rey steps out onto the red carpet, she just oozes old school Hollywood glamour, which is just what a glitzy event should be about!

1.2.3.

1. I'm not usually one for patterned dresses, I think they're far too loud and just clash which everything, however as this one is black and white, it tones it down and the print is just so elegant and really flatters her figure.

2. Red on a red carpet can also be quite risky, but Lana does it again! I love the way it's draped at the top, it makes it seem so effortless. I think her minimal jewelry and lack of clutch add to the impact of the dress because there is nothing else that draws your eye to it.

3. The most classic look out of the three; this cream number is so goregous. It screams glamour and is perfect on Lana. The belt and the waist is really flattering and pulls everything together, I love the gold clutch as well!

Lana is well known for her gorgeous locks and 60's inspired makeup;
1.2.3.

1. The most `Lana` look out of the three. I adore the peach blusher and nude lips, and of course the winged liner.

2. Ah I love this look! The smokey eye against her pale skin here makes it so striking. Her skin is absolutely flawless, probably photoshopped, however I'm sure it is naturally radiant!

3. This has to be my favourite look, I can't get enough off the lip shade, so perfect for autumn. The gold eye is so pretty as well, I'm glad she didn't go really strong on the eyes here as well, it would have been a bit too much!

So as I continue this love affair, what do you think about Lana's style? What is your favourite look?

Tell me a piece of your history that you've never said out loud.

OOTD#27

Hello my loves,
I've got an outfit post for you today. This is a simple, comfy look, but I really like it. If you would like to see a FOTD post for this look, check it out here :)

Jumper- Topshop
Necklace- Accessorize
Watch- Olivia Burton
Jeans- Zara
Socks- Accessorize
Converse- Office

This is definitely my favourite necklace, it's just so versatile! It jazzes up a plain neckline and just adds some more interest to any outfit.

I was thinking about this the other day, and I've worn my watch for pretty much every day since my birthday and it's still as good as new and I love it as much as ever! Of course, today was no exception, I had my watch on :)

Another thing thats a total staple in my wardrobe are my white converse, they give any outfit that casual vibe which I love love love.

I know this wasn't the most inspirational OOTD out there , but I think it's good for the current transition we're going through, when one minute it's freezing the next there's beautiful sunshine!

I hope your all doing well, I can't believe it's almost the end of September, time is seriously flying by at the moment.

Don't forget to check out my MAC lipstick giveaway!

Sunday, 25 August 2013

I figured out that joy is not in your arms.

OOTD #25

Hello everyone!
This is the first of the outfits I photographed for you lovely lot whilst on holiday last week;

Jacket- fashion union
Tshirt- Zara
Watch- Olivia Burton
Bag- Matalan
Jeans- Matalan
Walking boots- Amazon

I just wore this to go on a walk and a potter about where we were staying really.

I love the si-fi feel to this tee, its pretty over-sized and baggy, but that just how I like it! I bought this in a Zara sale a while ago, it had been reduced to £16, and then then to £8 and finally to £4, so I couldn't resit adding it to the collection.

I thought my nail polish, (Essie's Action) would go really well with the colours in the top. I do love a good contrast. I've also been loving my midi ring, so pretty.

I thought about changing into my converse and then taking these pictures, but then  I wanted to  give you a true representation of what I actually wore instead!My walking boots! I was walking after all :p I actually really like the colour of these and they are incredibly comfy.

Ah, my new bag, AKA, the love of my life. Its just so pretty! I finally have a bag that is the same shade as my watch strap as well, yay!

I feel this last photo is a little pointless, because the sun is stopping they're being any chance of you being able to see my make up, but still, here's my face.

Hey face :)

I hope your all enjoying the second to last week of the summer, like seriously since when did six weeks go so fast? So far today I have been recovering from a sleepover using as an excuse to lie in  , catching up on a few YouTube videos and blog posts and listening to Ellie Goulding *starts sing the title of this post*, so pretty standard really!

What do you think of this outfit? What are you up to today?

Celebrity style #4: Anne Hathaway.

Hello everyone :)
Its time for the fourth installment of celebrity style *yay* I haven't done one of these posts in forever, but the time has come!
This weeks celeb is the fabulous Anne Hathaway. Anne is one of my favourite actors; hello Les Mis, Bride-wars and The Devil wears Prada :)

Let's start with her casual style;

1.2.3

1. This is quite a typical `Anne` look. She seems to often favor eastern inspired prints and this gorgeous blouse is the perfect example of that. Anne is also seldom seen with out a pair of sunglasses (see above!) and I love the shape of these ones. The navy trousers and flats keep this outfit practical but far from boring.

2. I think this is my favourite laid back look. I just adore the way this dress fits Anne; it's super flattering but also looks really comfy and relaxed. I would never think of wearing orange with this oatmeal-y colour, but it looks fantastic! Your attention is drawn to the shoes but the dress still makes an impression; top marks Anne!

3. Next we have a really simple, classic outfit. I'm a huge fan of skinny jeans and I love how Anne has paired this black pair with patent brogues. Mixing blue and black can occasionally be a risky business but Anne gets it spot on. I'm also very envious of that bag!

I always look out for what Anne is wearing at red carpet events, and I can say she never seems to put a designer-high-heeled-foot wrong!

1.2.3

1. This look is my ablouste favourite on Anne. I think she just looks stunning. This couture Chanel ensemble highlights her amazing figure and is just so elegant. White has been all over the red carpet lately, but the secret seems to be keeping it simple, understated and chic, which is certainly what Anne has done.

2. Strictly speaking this isn't a red carpet look but I though it was only right to include a LBD! especially as this Dolce and Gabbana one is so sweet. It's so simple but Anne really makes it work. Pairing it with this long antique-y necklace makes all the difference, and of course, a pair of sunnies!

3. This dress seems very 20's inspired and Anne's pixie cut can only add to the effect! The beading is stunning and I love the strappy top. This is a bit random but one reason I have a soft spot for Anne is she is always smiling which I find incredibly endearing!

Anne's makeup also always gorgeous;
1.2.3

1. I love this youthful pink look. The finish is very dewy and her glowing blusher really extenuates that. Anne has really lovely brown eyes and has gone for a purple look here which really brings them out :)

2. When Anne cut her long hair, a lot of people weren't keen but I personalty love her new do! Her hair looks so sleek and glossy which looks amazing with this vampy makeup look and I'm now dieing to know what lipstick this is!
3. Lastly is a nude lip and smokey eye combo. I love how the eyes have been made slightly `cat-eye` as well. Anne's brows are always immaculate as well, can she get anything wrong!

So that's my take on Anne Hathaway's style :)
 I'm still pretty shocked that it is actually feeling summery in the UK, I'm just not used to not being able to complain about the weather! I've also just herd that Kate (Middleton) is in the earlier stages of labor, so I'm mentally sending my best wishes :)

Don't forget to enter my giveaway which closes in a few days!

Whats your favorite outfit? Do you a fan of Anne Hathaway?

Celebrity style #3: Ellie Goulding.

Today's celebrity is the wonderful Ellie Goulding. I literally love this woman, she is one of my favourite artists and I just love how unique she is, and she also has great style!

1.2.3

1. I think this first look is so cute! I love Ellie's varsity jacket, because along with being one of my favourite colours for clothing, it's also super on trend at the mo. I love her little shorts as well, I think without the dark tights this would look ridiculous, but Ellie just nails the winter shorts look.

2. This outfit is slightly crazy, but I think Ellie really pulls it of.  I love her jumper, it looks so sunggly!I also think the cute beanie helps make this look more daytime appropriate. I'm not totally sold on the whole leather boots and trousers combo, but I think she really makes it work :)

3. Finally for Ellie casual style is this sweet little ensemble. I think the little blouse is so pretty and looks really nice on Ellie's small frame. I do love a good smart and preppy outfit!

Ellie also has dressing up to a T, always keeping things fun and slightly quirky;

1.2.3.

1. I love this outfit :) Although it does risk slightly looking like you've left your skirt at home, I just think Ellie really works the androgynous trend with this jacket and shirt, whilst obviously keeping things girly by getting her pins out! I think it's a really fun read carpet look when your young and don't need to take yourself to seriously.

2. Oh I adore this dress! You must know I like a little bit of midriff and this dress looks so good on Ellie! I love that it's a sheer panel rather than actually bare skin, because it just makes thing all the more refined. The little studded clutch is a really lovely addition to this look.

3. More sheer material! Can you see what Ellie likes ;) I think this dress is absolutely beautiful; the beading is so intricate and detailed and the colour looks so good with  Ellie skin-tone. On a different note, she also had the gorgeous Jeremy Irvine on her arm at this event, so cute!

1.2.3.

1. This is such a pretty makeup look. I love the pale lilacy lipstick and the gentle blusher combo, it looks so good on her fair complexion. I do wish Ellie had gone for slightly more defined brows for this look, because I just feel like it would bring everything together totally.

2. This has to be my favourite look out of the three, because of that lipstick shade! It's just so pretty and complements her (amazing) pink hair perfectly. I'm also in love with that blusher, seriously want to  know what it is :)

3.And last but my know means least, is this gorgeous berry toned look. The lipstick looks a lot like my Revlon lip butter in `raspberry pie` which makes me look really sad excites me because I feel like I can recreate this look!

So that's my take on Ellie Goulding's style! I really like doing these posts and I have a few other Celeb looks in the pipeline, let me know if you have any requests! I'm going to Wales this weekend, so I wont be able to post then I'm starting my work experience on Monday so I'll be pretty busy then, but I'll try my best to keep blogging!

What do you think of Ellie's style?

Celebrity style #2: Zooey Deschanel.

 Howdy ever'body,
It's been ages since my first Celebrity style post, so I thought it was time for another one! This week I'm taking a look at the gorgeous Zooey Deschanel's style :) Personally, I think she is the most adorable celeb ever, and I just want to be her best friend!

Sets start with Zooey's casual style;
1.2.3

1.I love this look. I think it's pretty brave to wear a full on prom-dress-style skirt during the day, but Zooey totally pulls it of and looks ridiculously cute in the process!

2. Doesn't Zooey look amazing here?! Its a really simple outfit but I think the addition of the sunglasses and tan boots really liven it up a bit. Also, how lovely is her hair like this, such a great vintage style.

3. Admittedly, this look is pretty similar to the first one, but I couldn't not include it when it has such sweet deatial on the top! I mean how cute is that nautical collar :).

Now if Miss. Deschanel  does dressed down well, then she can do red carpet glamour even better;

1.2.3.

1. This dress is beautiful, the pale blue goes perfectly with her complexion, and the layers at the bottom are just dreamy.  I think this is the perfect, fresh red carpet dress, full marks!

2. What a perfect dress (you might be able to tell I seriously want to steal the entire contents of her wardrobe.) I love the way it nips in at the waist and has a really lovely full (but not my big fat gypsy wedding) skirt. I think this is particularly gorgeous because it isn't screaming `look at me` ,but is still very eye catching.

3. Wearing orange or any remotely red-y colour can be quite risky, but Zooey looks nothing short of stunning in this dress. It's quite a similar cut/style to dress number one, and she looks just as great in this ensemble as she did on the other :) I love the addition of the pearls, it just makes everything even more glamorous.

Zooey's make up is amazing, her skin is totally flawless so it's hardly surprising!

1.2.3.

1. This is the makeup look that Zooey wore with the blue dress above, and the pink lippie really does go  perfectly! It reminds me of Mac St. germain, I'd love to know what it actually is :p I this is up-do looks  totally classic as well.

2. Wow I love this look! The lip is quite toned down, but still bright enough to really make this look. Her hair also looks beyond amazing, I wish I could recreate it!

3. This red lip brings out Zooey's blue eyes wonderfully, she's just so pretty! Her checks are also perfectly contoured, which is always a winner in my book ;).

What do you think of Zooey's style?

I think that it's best if we both stay.

OOTD #10
Hello everyone, I hope your enjoying your bank holiday and the glorious weather we have at the moment! Also this is my tenth OOTD! these are definitely my favourite posts to write, and I hope you lovely lot like them as well!
Me and my family went for a picnic at Stowe gardens today, it was really sunny and relaxing ,the perfect bank holiday combo for me.
Sunglasses- Primark
Dress-Vintage
Watch-Olivia Burton
Socks-H&M
Converse- Office

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, then you may recognise this dress, because I wore it for my birthday back in April, but in a more dressed up way. It is definitely on the very short end of the dress scale, however, I think when you make it more casual, you can get away with it. I also apologise to your eyes for having to witness the paleness that is my legs, definitely wiping out the tan tonight!

Keeping with the vintage feel of this dress, I wore my favourite sunnies and watch, as well as my best loved Apocolips in `Big bang`. I'm seriously loving red lippie at the moment, which you may be able to tell by looking at my outfit posts! I didn't add a belt like I did before, because I wanted to keep it casual :)

These are defo my favourite sunglasses, can you believe they were only £2.50!

Not sure why I'm looking so serious in the first picture here! But this was today's makeup look.

I also shoved on my converse yet again :)

Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday guys! what have you been up to today?

We were born with nothing and we sure as hell have nothing now.

OOTD #9
As promised, here is today's outfit :)
Earrings- Miss selfridge
Jacket- ASOS
Tshirt- Ebay (Topshop)
Watch-Olivia Burton
Jeans-Republic
Converse-Office

I've just been at a drama rehearsal today, so I just went casual :)

This top is one of my best Ebay bargains, it was only about £3.99 and is originally Topshop. It's actually one of my favourite tshirt's, because I find it's just really easy to style and goes with everything, and of course, it's Batman!

I'm also wearing my favourite pair of jeans, even if I do buy a pair of Topshop Joni's, I'm sure these will always have a special place in my heart :p.

White Converse again, call me unadventurous, but I just love these shoes. they've actually stayed pretty white as well!

 I decided to match my nails to my tee (sad I know!) and this models own one goes perfectly, it's in the shade `Lemon meringue,` just in case you were wondering :)

To be honest, I can't not wear my watch now, it just doesn't feel right!

I actually straightened my hair today, first time ever in an OOTD! I just fancied a change from my usual waves really. I'm wearing a random rimmel lip liner as well, because I wanted a more matt red on the old lips  today :). Also, what's up with the weather?! Yesterday I did my paper round in lashing rain and strong winds, and today it's a balmy 17 degrees, I just hope it stays like this for the rest of the week!

I hope you're all having a lovely saturday so far, and here's to a week of blogging! *raises mug of  tea and takes a bit of lemon cake*

What kind of posts would you like to see? (let me know in the comments!)

Celebrity style #1: Taylor Swift.

I thought I would start a new feature here on my little blog, a look at celebrity style!
I thought I would kick things of with one of my favourite celebs; Taylor Swift! Now I know she's not everyone's cup of tea, (especially after her world famous relationship with a certain Mr. Styles,) but I personally love everything about her, her music, style, perfume! you name it, I'll like it :)

I first want to look at Taylor's of duty style, something I think she has down to a fine art;

1.2.3

1. I love this look because it's just so relaxed! I love that Taylor doesn't go round in towering heels constantly like a lot of celebrities seem to, she is a realistic dresser! Anyway, back to the outfit in hand. Taylor has phenomenal legs and they look amazing in these mustard shorts and cute brogues . Varsity jackets are going to be big news soon, and I absolutely love this one! Paired with a simple white T and sunnies, Taylor looks effortlessly cool, and so course she has the ultimate accessorie of a guitar case!

2. Taylor has a really girly, playful style and I think that is captured perfectly by this outfit. The peachy colour  of this dress looks gorgeous with her skin tone and the shape is so sweet. I personally wouldn't mix red with peach, but I think Taylor really pulls it off, I adore her hair swept to the side like this as well, and the fact that she's been shopping in H&M to!

3.This is a really classic Taylor  swift look; cute printed jumper, check, tailored trousers, check, flats, check! I think she looks so cute and relaxed her, she never seems to dress for the press, to get attention or whatever, she actually seems to dress for herself, which I don't think can really be said for a huge number of celebs.

Although Taylor can do dressed down, she can certainly do dressed up! These are a selection of my favourite red carpet looks of hers;
1.2.3.

1.Again, Taylor has great legs, and she definitely puts them to good use in this look! The embellishment on this dress is beautiful and I also love her shoes. Taylor often goes for gold when she's going for a really glamorous look and I'm glad she does :) This dress also has delicate, wispy sleeves which I think make just a bit more special.

2. This dress is so lovely! I reminds me of the `40's for some reason, I think it must be the shape, but either way it defo has a slightly vinategey feel to it which I really love and is also a main factor of Taylor's style.

3. I think Taylor looks gorgeous here! I wouldn't necessarily have this down as an award ceremony dress, but it's quite refreshing to take a break from all that glitter and sequins! I love Taylor's hair in this wavy style, especially with her trademark fringe.

Taylor's make up is also always perfect;
1.2.3.

1. This is a really natural, fresh faced look which I think is gorgeous on Taylor's flawless skin! why cover up when your skins this good?

2. This is my all time favourite look for Taylor's make up, the brown smokey eye, peachy glowing checks and a gorgeous nude lip. Whats not to love! I have try to recreate this look may a time, if only I had a make up artist who could do it for me!

3. Taylor is well known for her winger liner and red lip combo, which is one of my favourite looks anyway, so on Taylor it's just a bonus!

So there we have it, my first Celebrity style!

Who would you like to see next? What do you think of Taylor's style?
